A team-based wordplay communication game that challenges delegates to interpret constituent and private interest in a way that keeps them happy. Players ultimately must negotiate while competing to draft the most effective bills for their side. Failing to do so will result in getting voted out of office.

This game was developed to be used alongside the Bill of Rights Institute's Government and Politics: Civics For the American Experiment Core Resource.

About the Game:

Game Time: 10-30 minutes
Number of Players: 4-12
Game Play: Team vs Team (with 1 vs 1)

Game Play:

Over the course of 4 rounds, Party and Private Interest players attempt to get their representatives to ratify a bill that satisfies their individual goals. Party players need to be on the winning team to be an eligible champion. Private Interest players do not.

The game progresses through an Election Phase, a Communication Phase, a Ratification Phase, and a Scoring Phase. After the final round, players individually tally up their points from the game. The Party with the highest-scoring sum of individuals wins. The player in that Party with the highest single score is the champion, unless a Private Interest player scores higher, in which case they are deemed the champion.
